Set to enter NFL Draft
Sanders will forgo his senior season at Penn State and enter the 2019 NFL draft, Bruce Feldman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite a modest showing in Penn State's 27-24 loss to Kentucky in the Citrus Bowl on Tuesday (13 carries for 51 yards and two receptions for seven yards), Sanders still logged his best collegiate season in 2018. Over 13 outings, Sanders turned 220 carries into 1,274 rushing yards and nine touchdowns while also adding 139 receiving yards on 24 receptions. Sanders is a patient runner with good elusiveness, but his modest pass-catching ability and his lack of experience as a lead back could deter some NFL teams on draft day.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Tasked with filling possibly the biggest shoes in college football, Sanders is the heir apparent to the running back throne previously held by 2018 second-overall pick Saquon Barkley. While he owns just 56 carries through his first two seasons in Happy Valley, the junior tailback averaged 7.4 yards per carry as a freshman and 6.2 last season. He may not dominate the workload as much as Barkley did last year, but Sanders should receive the majority of the reps out of the backfield for the Nittany Lions. He possesses the top-end speed to be a home run hitter and, with an experienced line paving the way, Sanders should have his break out campaign for the team in 2018.
