Williams, an Ohio native, will stay in the state but transfer to its most coveted collegiate team. During 2025, he logged 26 receptions (on 34 targets) for 276 yards and three touchdowns. He is an experienced catcher and blocker, so Thamel expects the tight end to earn a similar role that Will Kacmarek recorded. During the latter's four-year OSU career, he logged more than 150 receiving yards thrice and multiple touchdowns twice, so Williams getting a meaningful position is in line.
