2024 Receiving Projections
Excellent in Thursday's loss
Williams gathered in 7 of 9 targets for 130 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 34-24 loss versus Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Williams was the bright spot of the Green Wave's offense Thursday. He set season highs in receptions, targets and yards and caught his fourth touchdown of the season. He had one crucial mistake though as he lost a fumble in the fourth quarter following a 55-yard reception that would have set the Green Wave up in the red zone. Williams will look to build off this performance versus Army in the AAC Conference Championship on Dec. 6.

Injuries kept Williams from making the impact many expected last season, as he already had synergy with Caleb Williams from their time shared in Oklahoma. Although he had a few impressive games and ended the season with 631 yards and five touchdowns, his full potential wasn’t reached. If Williams is 100 percent, Williams could end up leapfrogging his teammates and claim the top spot at the position. Williams’ only concern is his size - at only 5-9, he needs to rely on his speed and ability to get open. He’s not the type of player Williams can depend on for the 50/50 ball.
