After John Busha was benched, Johnson and Quentin Hayes split starting duties against New Mexico. The sophomore Johnson completed the Falcons' lone touchdown pass, a 39-yard completion to Quin Smith late in the fourth quarter. It appears that Smith, Hayes and Busha could all see action under center in Week 8 against Colorado State.
