Brooks emerged as the Longhorns' lead runner in 2023, amassing 187 carries for 1,139 yards and 10 touchdowns while adding 25 catches for 286 yards and a score over 10 games. Unfortunately, he suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in November, resulting in him missing Texas' final four games of the season. The knee injury will likely negatively affect his draft stock, as Brooks could be sidelined for at least a portion of his first NFL season and won't get a chance to perform at the NFL Scouting Combine in the spring.
