Officially enters draft
McCarthy announced Sunday via social media that he'll forgo his final season of eligibility at Michigan to enter the 2024 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Like many of his fellow Wolverines teammates who have eligibility remaining heading into 2024, McCarthy will leave college on top after helping lead Michigan to a national championship earlier this month. The 6-foot-3 signal-caller currently projects as a late-first or early second-round selection in most mock drafts, though he could improve (or diminish) his stock depends on how he fares during the pre-draft process. While helming a run-heavy Michigan attack in 2023, McCarthy completed 72.3 percent of his passes for 2,991 yards, 22 touchdowns and just four interceptions while adding 202 yards and three scores on 64 carries over 15 games.
