With most of the starting wide receivers out for the contest, Hester found himself with an opportunity to see an expanded role and was able to take advantage of it by leading the team in receiving yards. The senior wide receiver finished with his best performance of the season and could see more targets if the rest of the pass-catchers continue to be held out against Texas on Oct. 12.
