Gibson was already reportedly slated to miss a significant chunk of time in 2024, but now he's officially out for the season, according to Sooners' head coach Brent Venables. It's a tough break for the wideout, considering he's coming off his best year yet, one in which he displayed a penchant for the big play. Still, it opens the door for other receivers such as Jaquaize Pettaway and Brenen Thompson to crack the rotation at pass-catcher in Norman.
