Could start Saturday
November 19, 2024
Stratton could start for Iowa on Saturday, Chad Leistikow of the Des Moines Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Brendan Sullivan is out for the remainder of the regular season at least, and Cade McNamara isn't yet at full capacity health-wise. Thus, Stratton could be in line to start. In fact, head coach Kirk Ferentz told reporters that if Iowa had to play today, Stratton would be the starting signal caller. There's still plenty of time for McNamara to get healthy, and he would presumably be the starter in that case. Still, there's a real possibility Stratton could play against the Terps.
