2024 Fantasy Outlook
Waylee likely has one season of eligibility remaining, and it could be his best, especially after a superb first season with Wyoming last year after transferring from Northern Illinois. The 5-foot-10 running back has two straight seasons around the 900 rushing yards mark, and he even elevated his output despite a competition improvement with the Cowboys. His one issue since the beginning of his collegiate career is finding the endzone. He hasn't topped five rushing touchdowns in any of his four collegiate campaigns, and Waylee has also missed a combined four regular-season contests in the last two years. If he can stay on the field, there's certainly a chance Waylee could set a career-best touchdown total in 2024 and surpass his previous fantasy campaigns. Read Past Outlooks
Limited work in loss
Waylee accrued eight carries for 15 yards in Friday's 24-10 loss to Colorado State.
ANALYSIS
After running the ball 27 times for 170 yards last week, Waylee couldn't distinguish himself in a crowded backfield Friday -- three backs saw at least six carries. The senior Waylee has certainly demonstrated some explosive ability in the past, though it'll be difficult to rely on the Wyoming backfield down the stretch with tough matchups versus Boise State and Washington State to close out the regular season.
