Logs 10 carries, 17 receiving yards
Chaney (ankle) notched 10 rushes for 23 yards and hauled in their only target for 17 yards during Saturday's 31-19 win against Georgia Tech.
ANALYSIS
Chaney more than tripling his carries from Week 2 ensures his ankle is healthy. However, he logged only two yards more Saturday, so there is a need for improvement from him. Like in Week 1, Chaney also recorded a 17-yard reception.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
Chaney heads into 2021 as a piece to a crowded backfield in Coral Gables. As a freshman, Chaney showed flashes of potential, putting up 143 total against Duke and 94 total against Oklahoma State, but is battling Cam’Ron Harris and Jaylan Knighton for touches. Miami says they are committed to using a featured back rather than a committee, but it’s unsure if that’s game to game, or if a true lead will emerge. Long term, Chaney and Knighton have great potential as a thunder and lightning duo, but for 2021, it’s hard to predict a big breakout, as his style and body are more similar to Harris, who returned after flirting with the NFL Draft and likely didn’t do so to sit. He’ll get his touches, but anything more than a repeat of 2020 would surprise. He’s a year away from big potential.
