Declares for 2022 NFL Draft
Stingley (foot) announced Thursday in an essay posted on The Players' Tribune that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at LSU to enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
Stingley was limited to just three appearances for LSU during his junior season this past fall, as he suffered a left foot injury earlier in the campaign that ultimately required surgery. Despite the lackluster finish to his three-year LSU career, Stingley still projects to hear his name called in the first round of the draft, and he could even be the first cornerback off the board. When fully healthy as a true freshman in 2019, Stingley recorded six interceptions and 15 pass breakups on a stacked LSU team that rolled to the national title.
