Williams had an efficient day against the Spartans, running for 52 yards and a touchdown on just five rushing attempts while hauling in seven passes for 69 yards through the air. The 5-foot-11 running back found the end zone on a 5-yard scoring scamper in the third quarter, bringing the Terps within three at the time. Williams finished the regular season with 501 yards and three touchdowns on 3.9 yards per attempt on the ground through 12 games while adding 45 receptions for 426 yards and a score through the air as well. With Maryland finishing just 4-8 on the year, he will have to wait until next year for his next chance to make an impact with the Terps, barring entry into the NCAA transfer portal.
