The Cincinnati native comes home with a chance to lead the Bearcat backfield after one year at LSU with 324 yards and two touchdowns. Jerome Ford’s departure leaves 48 percent of the team’s rushing attempts up for grabs. It’s unrealistic to expect Kiner to absorb all of that volume, but it is realistic to project Kiner as the starter. Cincinnati should still be good despite losing Desmond Ridder. There’s some risk here because Cincinnati’s other backs performed well and should have roles, but Kiner is the upside play from this group.
