Purdy (shoulder) has been cleared to start throwing in practice. He's expected to be available for Nevada's Sep. 7 game against Georgia Southern and a full go by Week 3 against Minnesota, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Purdy won't make it on the field for Nevada's second game of the season against Troy after also missing the team's Week 0 29-24 loss to SMU, but he should see a return as soon as game three. Although "available" does not mean the quarterback will for sure play against the Eagles, his current recovery schedule puts him back to be fully healthy by the Wolf Pack's outing versus the Golden Gophers.
