Officially moving on to pro ranks
Young announced Monday that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at Alabama to enter the 2023 NFL Draft, Charlie Potter of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Though he wasn't able to replicate his massive numbers from his 2021 Heisman Trophy-winning campaign, Young was still one of the nation's top signal-callers in his third and final season at Alabama. He started in 12 games in 2022 and completed 64.5 percent of his attempts for 3,328 yards and a 32:5 TD:INT while adding 185 yards and four scores on the ground. While his size (six feet, 194 pounds) may present some concerns at the next level, Young's outstanding collegiate production, poise in the pocket and ability to conduct a pro-style offense should put him in contention for the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Young kept the Tide’s offense rolling in 2021 en route to becoming the first quarterback in program history to win the Heisman. He threw for 4,872 yards and logged a 47:7 TD:INT in 15 games. Jameson Williams and John Metchie are gone, but Alabama has a stocked cupboard at receiver and brought in transfer Jermaine Burton, so he has plenty of talent around him. Like Stroud, Young is athletic but is a throw-first quarterback (0 total rush yards on 81 attempts), so don’t expect gaudy rushing numbers from him, but his passing production will be more than enough each week.
