NFL bound
December 4, 2018
Brown announced via Twitter that he will forgo his senior season and enter the 2019 NFL Draft.
ANALYSIS
The star receiver out of Mississippi adds another top-tier option to what is shaping up to be a very deep draft at the position. Brown was a three-year contributor at Mississippi but truly took off as a sophomore when he caught 75 of 97 targets for 1,252 yards (12.9 YPT) and 11 touchdowns. He followed it up with another strong season in 2018 with 85 catches for 1,320 yards and six scores on 121 targets (10.9 YPT). Brown (6-1, 230) is a big and physical receiver, but part of his dominance at the college level came from his role playing mostly out of the slot. There will be questions throughout the draft process as to whether he can play at an outside receiver spot. In any case, it would take a thoroughly disappointing combine performance for Brown to fall outside the top 40 picks in the upcoming draft.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2017
Brown isn't just an elite fantasy option, he's also the best receiving prospect in this year's class. And while pro potential doesn't always line up with fantasy output, it does in this case with Brown serving as the focal point of a high-powered Ole Miss offense. Brown (6-1, 225) hauled in 75 of 97 targets for 1,252 yards and 11 scores, both of which led the SEC. His film shows a physically dominant player with great hands and strong after-the-catch ability. He'll be a high-volume, high-efficiency fantasy asset and a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.
Brown appears poised for a breakout season as a sophomore, as three of the top four receivers from last year's Ole Miss squad are now in the NFL. That leaves Van Jefferson and Brown as the two most likely wideouts to have huge seasons in the high octane offense led by the emerging Shea Patterson. Brown averaged a stellar 14.2 yards per grab in 2016. He also has the size and athleticism at 6-foot-1, 225-lbs to gain space between himself and his defender, particularly in the red zone. Van Jefferson may be the most targeted wideout in the Rebel offense, but Brown should be the most explosive.
