Mabrey Mettauer News: Co-starter for Week 0

Mettauer is listed as a co-starter for the Bearkats' upcoming game Saturday at Western Kentucky, Sports of SHSU reports.

Mettauer and Hunter Watson are listed as co-starters. Even though Mettauer does not have Watson's in-game experience, he comes from a power conference team in Wisconsin and hopes that his previous promise will warrant an opportunity at a lower FBS level. It remains to be seen if his listing will result in any playing time Saturday, but it's a situation worth monitoring, as Mettauer was a recruit of new head coach Phil Longo's when he was the offensive coordinator at the Badgers.
