Maalik Murphy News: Expected to be Week 1 starter

Murphy is expected to be the Beavers' starting quarterback for their upcoming game against California on Aug. 30, Pete Nakos of On3.com reports.

For 2025, Murphy transferred colleges from Duke to Oregon State. Just a week and a half before the Beavers begin their upcoming season, it appears that they have already selected who will be under center. The development should not come as much of a surprise, considering Murphy's experience over his QB contemporaries Gabarri Johnson and Kallen Gutridge.
