Leyton Simmering Injury: Absent from 2025-26 opener

Simmering (undisclosed) won't be available to face Iowa State in the 2025-26 season opener, according to Drew Galloway of On3.com.

Simmering won't be an option to handle kicking duties in the season opener. It's uncertain if the injury will keep him on the sidelines for an extended stretch, though. His next chance to feature will come against North Dakota on Aug. 30.
