Landan Brown News: Listed as starter

Brown is listed as a starter for the Bearkats' upcoming game Saturday at Western Kentucky, Sports of SHSU reports.

Brown did not play during the Bearkats' 2024 season but is atop their depth chart for Saturday. All the running back's counting stats come from his 2023 season, in which he logged nine carries for 17 yards and three receptions for 13 yards. Borwn's placement atop the depth chart is an interesting wrinkle, but it remains to be seen if that's truly how the backfield gets deployed, as Elijah Green seemed like the favorite to carry the load for the Bearkats.
