Kenny Minchey News: Falls short in QB competition

Minchey will not be the Fighting Irish's starting quarterback for their upcoming game at Miami on Aug. 31, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reports.

Minchey's previous update suggests he was ahead of CJ Carr for the starting quarterback position. But on Tuesday, it became public that the latter will be QB1. Minchey's focus shifts to getting opportunities when he can and surpassing his relatively minimal 2024 stats, which include a four-yard completion and two receptions for 12 yards, with one touchdown.
