Kohl plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, per On3.com.

Kohl will enter the portal following a single season with Appalachian State. The 6-foot-7 quarterback threw for 1,465 yards and 12 touchdowns to two interceptions across eight games this season. He will retain two years of eligibility at his next destination.
