Jeron Askren News: Set for bigger role in 2025

Askren is expected to have a bigger role on offense after Gary Clinton (leg) suffered a season-ending injury, Wyatt Wheeler of The Springfield News-Leader reports.

Clinton was expected to be the No. 1 tight end before suffering a season-ending injury. Even though Missouri State could go in different directions to fill the void left by Clinton, Askren took reps with the first-team offense in the last few days and also has experience in this scheme. He already played last season for Missouri State, and that gives him an edge over other options available.
