Jaziun Patterson News: Vying for carries
Patterson is among the running backs fighting to replace Kaleb Johnson for the Hawkeyes this fall, Andrew Kulha of Sports Illustrated reports.
Patterson is competing for a sizeable share of the Hawkeyes' backfield during fall camp as Iowa looks to replace 2025 NFL Draft selection and workhorse Kaleb Johnson. The 5-foot-10 junior logged 63 carries for 309 yards and two touchdowns across 10 outings during the 2024-25 season. Patterson and Kamari Moulton (hamstring) look to be among the favorites to lead the Hawkeyes' backfield in touches this season.
