James Laubstein News: Not starting QB for Week 1

Laubstein will not be New Mexico's starting quarterback for Week 1, Pete Thamel of ESPN reports.

Thamel announced that for Week 1, Jack Layne will be New Mexico's starting quarterback. Laubstein lacks in-game experience, which he will finally try to log during 2025. There is definitely a possibility, considering Layne's track record remains spotty.
