Greg Gaines News: Entering transfer portal

Gaines plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, per Bill Koch of The Providence Journal.

Gaines will enter the portal following two years with Rhode Island. The 6-foot-3 receiver had a productive season with the Rams in 2025, catching 65 passes for 1,018 yards and four touchdowns across 14 contests. The former Iowa State transfer will retain a single year of eligibility at his next destination.
