Nussmeier out for the Texas Bowl means his 2025 season and collegiate career has come to an end. For this year, the quarterback looked to improve on his career-best 2024 and lead LSU back to the promised land. However, Nussmeier's 2025 was defined by injuries and back-and-forth play. Nussmeier logged a career-best 67.4 completion percentage on 288 pass attempts but barely logged two multi-touchdown games despite almost 10 matchups to do so.
