Evan Simon News: Expected Week 1 starter
Simon looks to be Temple's Week 1 starter for Saturday's game against UMass, 247Sports.com reports.
Simon took all of his pregame reps with the Owls' starting center and fall camp reports that he would likely be the starter appear to be correct. The 6-foot-3 graduate student appeared in nine games with Temple last season after transferring in from Rutgers, tossing for 2,032 yards (181-of-308), 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions, adding on three scores with his legs. Simon will look to secure the starting spot with a strong showing against UMass following an offseason quarterback battle.
