Elijah Green News: Absent from two-deep

Green isn't listed on Sam Houston's two-deep ahead of its Week 0 clash with Western Kentucky, per Sports of SHSU.

Landan Brown and Jerrian Parker are both listed ahead of Green on the initial depth chart. Green, who transferred over from Indiana this offseason, was expected to have a role with the Bearkats after he ran for over 200 yards and notched five touchdowns last fall in Bloomington. While his exclusion from the initial two-deep is puzzling, the distribution of carries in the opener should be more telling as to the expected roles this fall.
