Warner will start for Fresno State to begin the season, per Pete Thamel of ESPN.com.

After a three-way quarterback competition through spring and fall between Warner, Joshua Wood, and Jayden Mandal, Warner has emerged as Fresno State's starter to open the season. The senior brings valuable experience, having started 31 games over the past three seasons at Temple and Rice. Last year, he completed 62 percent of his passes for 2,710 yards, 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
