Dru DeShields News: Locked in QB battle

DeShields (undisclosed) is in a quarterback battle with CJ Montes, per KentStateSports.com.

DeShields was lost for the season in September of 2024, and he has yet to take a collegiate snap. Now, however, he's in a battle for the Golden Flashes' starting quarterback gig alongside CJ Montes, who spent the past two seasons with Fordham. Montes' experience at multiple levels could give him a leg up, but this competition has yet to be decided and appears to be pretty neck-and-neck.
