Chase Jenkins News: Will start opener at Louisiana
Jenkins will be the Owls' starting quarterback for their upcoming game at Louisiana-Lafayette on Aug. 30, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
In terms of game snaps, Jenkins changing positions is already paying dividends. Before the Owls' 2024 season, he converted from quarterback to wide receiver, which got him zero targets. The ex-WR has more experience under center, having logged 13 completions for 100 yards. However, Jenkins has one interception and zero touchdowns.
