Cash Cheeks Injury: Recovering from ankle injury

Cheeks announced via Instagram that he's recovering from an apparent ankle injury, Adrian Broaddus of 600 ESPN El Paso reports.

Cheeks also posted a picture in the hospital with a cast on, which indicates that the ankle injury was severe. The 6-foot-7 tight end's recovery timeline remains unknown, but it is highly unlikely that he'll be able to suit up for UTEP's season opener in two weeks.
