Justin Rankin

Running BackRB
Stands out as receiver Saturday
RBEdmonton
June 8, 2025
Rankin rushed seven times for 24 yards and brought in five of six targets for 67 yards in the Elks' 31-14 loss to the Lions on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Rankin opened the season as the Elks' new lead back following the departure of Kevin Brown this offseason, but game script eventually turned against the ground attack in the third quarter. Nevertheless, the versatile second-year pro put on his receiver hat and thrived as a pass catcher, posting team-high catch and receiving yardage totals. Rankin's explosive speed makes him a threat any time he touches the ball in any capacity, so he could be primed for better overall production in a Week 3 Thursday night matchup against the Alouettes on June 19th following a Week 2 bye.
