2024 Tournament PreviewCoach Rodney Terry has the Longhorns in the NCAA Tournament for the second time in two years at the helm, though they were much closer to the bubble this year than last season's voyage as a No. 2 seed. Texas finished seventh in the Big 12 and was one-and-done in the conference tournament, but the league's general strength earned them a bid, as all five of their Quad 1 wins came in conference. The Longhorns got a major scoring influx from transfer Max Abmas (17.1 ppg), a 36.8 percent long-range shooter from Oral Roberts. Fifth-year senior Dylan Disu (15.8 ppg, 5.0 rpg), who returned in December from the foot injury that abruptly halted last year's tourney run, is again a key contributor to an offense that ranks 18th nationally in efficiency (per KenPom). Texas is far from the same team defensively, though, ranking 60th in KenPom's defensive efficiency metric following back-to-back years in the top 15.
