2024 Tournament PreviewThe Patriot League regular-season and tournament champion, Colgate is in the Big Dance for the fourth consecutive season and seventh time in program history. Coach Matt Langel keeps bodies fresh with a 10-man rotation that plays lock-down defense on the perimeter and crashes the glass. The Raiders rank 10th nationally in perimeter defense, holding opponents to 29.9 percent shooting from 3-point range, and rank 19th in the nation in defensive rebounding rate. Sophomore Braeden Smith (12.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 5.8 apg) paces the offense while 6-7 senior Ryan Moffatt (10.4 ppg) shoots 37.1 percent from downtown. The paint is controlled by 6-10 Keegan Records (10.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.2 bpg) and 6-11 Jeff Woodward (7.2 ppg). Like many mid-majors, Colgate's resume is suspect. The Raiders lost by 27 points in its only Quad 1 matchup and lost three Quad 4 games. Getting the school's first tournament win will be an uphill battle.
