Townsend connecting on all but one of his field goal attempts to tally 16 points while matching a season-high with his eight rebounds. The senior forward added two blocks during 23 minutes on the floor in what was a highly efficient effort. He had gone scoreless during the Big 12 championship loss to Houston but has now otherwise reached double figures in four of five as his role is increasing for an Arizona club that has reached the second round for the third time in four seasons under head coach Tommy Lloyd.
