Best saw game action for just the fifth time this season, shooting a healthy 62.5-percent from the floor and 2-for-3 from long range while amassing 18 points, two helpers and two steals across 24 minutes. The freshman guard, who had played no more than four minutes nor had accumulated a stat line in any appearance prior to Wednesday, was called into duty thanks to the absences of Alston Mason (illness), Jayden Quaintance (knee) and BJ Freeman (team dismissal). If Quaintance and especially Mason do return in time for Saturday's game with Utah, it will be interesting to see if coach Bobby Hurley decides to give Best some additional run in the team's rotation based off of this quality effort.
