Resumes starting role, drops 25
Johnson totaled 25 points (9-17 FG, 7-11 3Pt), one rebound, four assists and one block over 31 minutes during Saturday's 97-75 victory over Georgetown.
ANALYSIS
Johnson and the Musketeers have hit a rough patch of late, dropping five in row to potentially erase some of the good will built up by the early-season resume. On the bright side, Johnson was able to return from a four-game absence last Wednesday, and he resumed his starting role on senior night. That led to his highest single-game scoring total since Nov. 26 when he poured in 30 against Virginia Tech in non-conference play. Granted, Saturday's effort occurred against the last-place Hoyas, but it was still a building block for a team in desperate need of momentum entering the Big East tournament.
