The senior transfer from Stetson, where he averaged 21.3 ppg, began the year as a starter with Miami, averaging 11.6 ppg across 25.1 mpg through the first seven games. He was then moved out of the starting five, and he averaged 5.4 points across 17.2 minutes in the 10 games since. On three separate occasions during that stretch, he was held without a point entirely. No word of an injury has surfaced regarding Blackmon's absence Saturday, but with the Canes losing 14 of 15 games and headed for a complete rebuild, it's anyone's guess what might be happening behind the scenes.
