Despite Wednesday's road defeat, Martinez is having a banner year with the Aggies, leading the way with a 16.7 ppg scoring average that is also a career best. What's possibly the most impressive is the fact he's scored 11 or more points in every single game this season. Both his shot volume and free-throw percentage are up tremendously, which has so far offset a dips in field goal and three-point percentage. This loss may have cost Martinez and the Aggies their spot in the national rankings, and they won't get a chance to rebound until next Wednesday against Nevada.
