Gillespie broke out towards the end of the 2024-25 season, averaging 11.1 points and 10.9 rebounds over the final 15 games while settling into a starting role. A step up in production was a reasonable expectation entering his senior season, but few could have imagined he would start the season with five consecutive double-doubles while representing a top-50 nationwide scorer and shooting a career-best 60.0 percent from the field. Gillespie has also been strong on the defensive end, recording at least one block in all five games and averaging 2.2 rejections per contest. Simply put, he's been one of the best fantasy assets in nationwide formats through the first two game weeks.
