Hoggard will miss the opener against California, as college basketball seniors aren't allowed to participate in the aforementioned tournament. The Michigan State transfer is slated to be Vanderbilt's top option at point guard and should be in for a big-time season with the Commodores after averaging 10.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists across 34 starts for Michigan State last season.
