Barring the unexpected, Caleb Williams will be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Chicago Bears moved off Justin Fields, fully opening the door to draft Williams.
If Caleb Williams is indeed taken No. 1 overall, look for the Washington Commanders to select one of Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels. Daniels' skillset fits Commanders' OC Kliff Kingsbury's system better, which is why he holds minus odds.
Currently, the New England Patriots hold the No. 3 overall pick. Although they can always trade back and start Jacoby Brissett as a bridge quarterback, look for New England to select Drake Maye. Maye is a big-bodied signal caller with sky-high upside. He would be the best quarterback on the Patriots since Tom Brady, unless he busts.
The top five picks in the 2024 NFL Draft are expected to be dominated by the quarterback position. However, if there is one skill position player who can sneak in, then Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Cardinals at pick No. 4 is the one.
Once the top quarterbacks and Marvin Harrison Jr. are off the board, the NFL Draft becomes more open when it comes to players and positions selected. There is not much value here, so taking one of the top guys would be a parlay piece at best.
There is not a lot of context that should go into this. The pick is Caleb Williams unless the Bears throw an unexpected curveball.
The 2024 NFL Draft class at the running back position is weak compared to years past. However, the two that stand out are Trey Benson and Jonathan Brooks. There is a small chance that Brooks is taken in the first round should the Dallas Cowboys decide to reach in the back of the round.
Marvin Harrison Jr. is tued as the best wideout in the 2024 class. He is a locked and loaded top-five pick. Malik Nabers is the only other wide receiver who could be considered betting on when it comes to this market.
