ANALYSIS
Adames' deal contains a full no-trade clause and will keep him on the Giants' books through the 2031 contract. He netted the big contract after he hit .251 while establishing career highs in home runs (32), stolen bases (21), RBI (112) and runs (93) over his 161 games with the Brewers in 2024. Expect Adames' stolen-base production to a take hit with the move to a Giants squad that wasn't active in the run game under manager Bob Melvin a season ago, and his home-run total will likely drop as well while he leaves the more favorable hitting confines of American Family Field for a more pitcher-friendly environment in Oracle Park.
