As a freshman, he started in all 29 games and averaged 17.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.8 steals to help his team to a 22-8 record and a sectional championship. As a sophomore, he started in all 33 games and averaged 25.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.3 steals to help his team to a 27-6 record and a 3A state title. He reached a milestone as a junior, becoming the fastest player to score 1,000 career points in Cabarrus County public school history; averaged 25.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.3 steals to help his team to a 29-3 record and a second straight 3A state title. On October 8, 2018, Moore announced that he will attend Duke University, picking them over North Carolina, NC State, South Carolina, and Wake Forest. During his first year, he averaged 7.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. As a sophomore, Moore averaged 9.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He was named to the Second Team All-ACC as a junior, as well as the All-Defensive Team. On Nov. 12, 2021, Moore recorded 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, making him the fifth player in Blue Devils history with a triple-double. On April 2, 2022, Moore was named the winner of the Julius Erving Award. He declared for the 2022 NBA draft, forgoing his college eligibility on April 21. Moore was selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the 26th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft.
ANALYSIS Waived by the Pistons last week, Moore quickly caught on with a new organization. He had been a member of Detroit's 15-man roster, but after inking a two-way deal with the Hornets, he'll be eligible to be active in only 16 games at the NBA level for the rest of the season. As such, Moore could end up seeing most of his playing time with the G League's Greensboro Swarm down the stretch. Across his 20 appearances with Detroit this season, Moore averaged 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 11.0 minutes.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Moore barely saw the floor during his rookie season, playing just 5.3 minutes per night across a total of 29 games. He averaged 1.4 points and 0.5 combined steals and blocks. Although his role is likely to increase this season, chances are he sees fewer than 10 minutes per night, taking to the court on only a handful of occasions. He is not worth drafting anywhere at this point.
ANALYSIS Ivey's lower leg injury could keep him sidelined until March or even further, meaning the Pistons will have lots of time to experiment with new lineups and rotations. Moore got the start in the matchup against the Hornets on Jan. 3, and he could be an intriguing option to bolster the team's defensive quality in the backcourt. From that point of view, Moore could be a perfect partner for Cade Cunningham.
