Leading rebounder in double-double
Vucevic contributed 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal over 38 minutes in Wednesday's 109-90 loss to Miami in the Play-In Tournament.
ANALYSIS
Vucevic was strong in the paint for Chicago in the Play-In Tournament battle against the Heat, leading all Bulls in rebounds and blocks while finishing as one of two players with a double-double performance in Chicago's final game of the season. Vucevic was a double-double machine this year, accomplishing the feat in 45 outings during the regular season and carrying that into the postseason Wednesday.

Vucevic was a picture of health once again during the 2023-24 season, playing in 76 of a possible 82 games. While it was a relatively successful season for the veteran, it is clear he is starting to slow down on both ends of the floor. After having ranked inside the top 30 for eight of the previous nine seasons, Vucevic fell to be the 49th-ranked player in nine-category leagues. His numbers were comparable to the past two years, averaging 18.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.2 three-pointers. As is typically the case with Vucevic, he managed to return value thanks to the fact he fell in drafts. The Bulls appear as though they have finally accepted the fact that mediocrity is not the way forward. At this stage, it appears as though Vucevic will begin the season as the starting center in Chicago. However, if they do opt to go in another direction, he could find himself on the move at some point. As of right now, he is likely to continue doing what he does, providing strong rebound numbers to go with versatile scoring and decent efficiency. Managers should expect him to go off the board in the sixth round of most drafts, a position from which he could possibly return value once again, assuming he remains with the Bulls.

Remains without market
During an appearance on Bleacher Report on Thursday, Jake Fischer of the Stein Line said Vucevic doesn't have a trade market right now.
ANALYSIS
"I think at this juncture, we're probably more likely to see a Nikola Vucevic buyout mid-season than we are to see a trade," Fischer said. "Depending on how the market unfolds, depending on how injuries develop. There just really hasn't been much of a Nikola Vucevic trade market in a while." Although he's coming off yet another successful fantasy campaign in Chicago, the uncertainty around Vucevic's future makes him a risky target until there's more clarity on his situation. The big man holds an expiring contract worth $21.48 million.
