2025 Fantasy Outlook
Nance was limited to just 24 games with the Hawks during the 2024-25 regular season due to a fractured hand, finishing with averages of 8.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.4 three-pointers in 19.3 minutes. He also made three starts, but never really picked up any real momentum in fantasy due to injuries and low workloads. He drew a good amount of interest in free agency, and he ended up in Cleveland on a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum. He's slated to pick up the backup center duties behind Jarrett Allen, although Evan Mobley will spend some time there as well. Entering his age-33 season, Nance's best days are behind him, and it's hard to imagine him seeing enough minutes in Cleveland to make a real splash in fantasy outside of very deep formats. If Mobley or Allen goes down with an injury at any point, Nance could suddenly find himself on the streaming radar. Read Past Outlooks
Back in rotation Wednesday
Nance closed with five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 13 minutes during Wednesday's 94-87 win over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Nance moved back into the rotation, appearing for just the second time in the past 25 games. After starting the season with a relatively consistent role off the bench, injuries and lack of production have resulted in him being used only on rare occasions. Despite a proven per-minute upside, Nance holds no real value in fantasy leagues, given his lack of playing time.

Following three seasons in New Orleans, Nance was traded to the Hawks during the offseason as part of the Dejounte Murray deal. Having carved out a role as a reliable backup center, Nance will now have to integrate himself once again, a task that could be difficult given both Clint Capela and Onyeka Okongwu remain on the roster. Nance played 61 games during the 2023-24 regular season, ending as the 172nd-ranked player in standard formats. His averages of 5.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals are reflective of his career to this point. He is very limited on the offensive end, instead relying on his ability to crash the boards and play the passing lanes to buoy his fantasy value. Assuming both Capela and Okongwu are there on opening night, Nance will likely struggle to get more than 15 minutes per night. Outside of some potential streaming value, he isn't someone who should be drafted, even in slightly deeper formats.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Atkinson values him highly
Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson said Tuesday that Cleveland's acquisition of Nance was a "coup," Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Atkinson said he likes Nance's veteran presence, his knowledge of the organization and his "luxury" skill set. The Cavaliers did sign Thomas Bryant on Tuesday, but Nance may be the favorite to be the first big off the bench this season because of his versatility. Due to injuries, Nance made just 24 regular-season appearances in 2024-25, averaging 8.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.8 steals in 19.3 minutes.
