2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Jones remains an intriguing player with immense potential despite mixed results during his senior season at Marquette. After shooting a career-high 40.6 percent from deep on 6.5 attempts per game as a junior, Jones hit a career-worst 31.1 percent on 6.1 three-point attempts a night as a senior. However, he still averaged 19.2 points per game. Jones also dished out 5.9 assists per game in 2024-25 after never averaging more than 2.5 in each of his first three seasons. The lefty point guard was taken with the No. 38 overall pick by the Pacers, who'll be without their All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton for the entire 2025-26 campaign. Despite the massive hole in the backcourt, Jones won't be stepping into a guaranteed role as a rookie. Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin will start, with T.J. McConnell, Ben Sheppard and Johnny Furphy as the top returning backups. Jones will have to earn everything with strong play, but there's a reality where he flashes fantasy relevance at some point as a rookie. Read Past Outlooks

Expected to miss time
Jones (back) is likely going to be sidelined for a few weeks, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports Monday.
ANALYSIS
The No. 38 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Jones is likely to miss all of preseason following this news. He was considered a long shot to crack the rotation for Opening Night, and it's likely he begins his professional career in the G League.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Uncertain date for NBA debut
Jones will be sidelined for multiple weeks due to a back injury, and it is uncertain when he'll be able to make his NBA debut, according to Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Rick Carlisle announced the injury to Jones. The rookie was the 38th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. While the timeline doesn't automatically rule Jones out for the season opener against the Thunder on Oct. 23, it sounds as if Jones probably won't be ready to return for that contest.
